About me.
I think back to my 6th grade year, walking through the halls of my middle school with my mom, talking about the courses I could take the next year. I still have no idea what caused my mom to say “You can be on yearbook next year,” but I would soon find out that class would set the spark that would propel me throughout my life and career. It was also, likely, the class that brought me out of my shell and helped me discover how I loved to connect with others. This journalism class truly was the start of my love for writing and marketing.
On that note, I am a writer. A wordsmith. A teller of stories. A communicator.
My journey after graduating with a Mass Communications degree from Texas State University has given me the opportunity to work as a media buyer, a marketing manager at a large tech company developing direct marketing campaigns, an online magazine writer and publisher for local communities, a campaign manager at a marketing and PR agency, and a content manager for two wellness companies changing the narrative around health and fitness.
Oh, and in there, too, I became a mom of two boys who give me plenty of things to write about, especially as they are now both teenagers!
For me, connecting with people authentically through the written word is a passion. Each day, I get excited about how I can reach people, and it is my hope that I can continue to work with businesses who have a heart to change the world for the better.
